Grand Prix of Mediterranean Cuisine
After last year's great success, the "Gran Premio della Cucina Mediterranea" international competition will return on the first competition day of the show – Saturday 16th February – at the FIC Federazione Italiana Cuochi area, Hall A1.
Three national teams of the Worldchef will challenge each other in the creation of special menus for 60 guests, strictly using ingredients of the Mediterranean tradition such as legumes, pasta, tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and bluefish.
The 2019 edition will feature Slovenia - the current 2018 champions - along with France and Albania.
An international Jury composed of acclaimed professionals recognised by Worldchefs will select the best menus in the competition. Each menu will include a FIRST COURSE, a MAIN COURSE and a DESSERT.
Each will be evaluated based on criteria such as the beauty of the mise en place, the cleanliness and the professional level of preparation along with service, appearance and taste.
